Learning Objectives :

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Recognize the new data available for type II DM and how these findings impact clinical practice
  • Discuss the role of SGLT-2 inhibitors for HFrEF without T2DM and how they compare to other medications with proven morbidity and mortality benefit in heart failure
  • List potential ways pharmacists can influence and facilitate prescribing of T2DM medications outside of a primary care clinic
