Learning Objectives :

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

• Describe the epidemiology and challenges associated with treatment-resistant depression
• Discuss antidepressants based on their respective neurotransmission pathways
• Explain the background and the literature supporting the use of esketamine for treatment-resistant depression
• Review the utilization logistics, clinical monitoring requirements, and implications of esketamine in an outpatient setting
