Learning Objectives:

  • Recognize the evolving role of belatacept in transplant immunosuppressive regimens.
  • Discuss how to manage a transplant immunosuppression regimen incorporating the use of belatacept without a calcineurin inhibitor (CNI) or long-term steroids or with alternative induction.
  • Review clinical situations in which rejection or viral infections may behave differently under belatacept.
