  • Define role of pharmacy technicians in pharmacy-based immunization programs.
  • List the requirements for a pharmacy provider to administer vaccines delineated in the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act.
  • Review Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommendations for COVID-19 and childhood vaccines.
  • Identify adverse events to vaccines that must be reported as well as ways adverse events can be reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS).

Participants must complete the activity as described below in the Continuing Education Statement.
