Program Description: Critical care practice and related pharmacotherapy encompasses a wide variety of disease states. New developments challenge the practitioner to stay abreast of emerging therapies and novel treatment strategies. This conference will focus on clinical controversies or novel therapies across the gamut of critical care medicine. Highlighted educational topics will include Applying the ABCDEF Bundle in your ICU, the InterACTION between Mechanical Ventilation and Sedative Therapies, and Anti-infective Considerations for CRRT, among others. Additional conference activities will include education on the use of intraosseous access for emergency reversal agents, the treatment of refractory alcohol withdrawal, and strategies to develop and implement a quality improvement research project in the intensive care unit.
Registration Deadline: August 18, 2017
Registration fee includes: continental breakfast, boxed lunch, parking validation, and up to 6.25 contact hours (0.625 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy education credits or up to 6.25 contact hours of continuing nursing education credits. Advanced practice nurses may count a total of 4.75 contact hours for the pharmacotherapeutic educational requirement. Paper handouts will not be provided. Handouts will be provided electronically for attendees download and print before the conference.

All audience response questions, such as pre- and post-tests and active learning questions, will be conducted via the internet. Attendees must bring a smartphone, tablet, or laptop to this conference in order to participate in these activities and earn CE credits.
