The UIC Retzky College of Pharmacy Office of Continuing Education and Meeting Services (OCEMS) offers a variety of continuing education activities throughout the year for many professions.
The Mission of the UIC Retzky College of Pharmacy Office of Continuing Education and Meeting Services is to deliver quality continuing education activities that meet the professional development needs of pharmacists and other healthcare-related audiences.

Pharmacists

Pharmaceutical Representatives
- Oregon Pre-Licensing Pharmaceutical Sales Representative – PLE
- For the initial pharmaceutical sales representative license application, you will need to complete 10 hours of pre-license education credits.

- Oregon Pharmaceutical Sales Representative – PSR
- Once you have completed the pre-licensing requirements, the state of Oregon will issue the individual an active license number.
- For yearly license renewal, 5 hours of continuing education requirements are required. These credits must be completed by the time of license renewal.

Pharmaceutical Representatives - Chicago
- After completing the initial online education session for licensure, a representative must complete at least 5 hours of continuing education per year.

Pharmaceutical Detailers - Washington DC
- Pharmaceutical detailers must complete a minimum of 15 continuing education hours every two years for license renewal.
