The 3rd Annual Illinois Transplant Pharmacist Association Symposium-- September 16 & 17, 2020
Solid organ transplantation is an ever-evolving field with updates in pharmacotherapy and donor/recipient management continually challenging transplant providers to further advance their clinical knowledge and practice. This conference will provide experienced transplant clinicians the ability to gain deeper understanding of some of the latest developments occurring throughout the transplant community in order to best care for their patients. Highlighted topics include the discussion of non-invasive tests to monitor for rejection as well as updates in the treatment of AMR. Additionally, there will be a session focused on strategies for opioid minimization post-transplant which will provide the attendees the ability to gain tools and guidance on how to optimize pain management for new transplant recipients.
Highlighted educational topics will include: Updates in the Treatment of Antibody-Mediated Rejection (AMR), Strategies for Opioid Minimization, Clinical Pearls for Anticoagulation Use Post-Transplant, Non-Invasive Rejection Monitoring in Kidney Transplant, and Antimicrobial Stewardship in Solid Organ Transplantation.
