At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

• Discuss the incidence and pathophysiology of neonatal sepsis
• Describe the significance of biomarkers in neonatal sepsis
• Review the current literature on the use of C-reactive protein and procalcitonin in the management of neonatal sepsis
