Learning Objectives :

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Review available assessment tools for toxicities associated with CAR T-cell therapies, with an emphasis on cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and immune effector-cell associated neurotoxicity (ICANS).
  • Discuss treatment approaches for acute toxicities associated with CAR T-cell therapies, with an emphasis on CRS and ICANS.
  • Recognize presentation and management of late occurring adverse effects of CAR T-cell therapies.
