Presentation Title: Exploring the Dark Side of Cannabis: Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome
Learning Objectives:
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Describe the pathophysiology of cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome (CHS)
  • Identify various treatment methods in patients with CHS

Presentation Title: OH MYocarditis
Learning Objectives:
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Describe the signs, symptoms, and diagnostic criteria for the different causes of myocarditis to assist with early diagnosis
  • Develop a cause-specific pharmacologic treatment and monitoring plan for myocarditis

Presentation Title: Are we Missing the Sweet Spot? Permissive Hyperglycemia in the ICU
Learning Objectives:
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Explain the pathophysiology of relative hypoglycemia in critically ill patients with poorly controlled diabetes
  • Discuss the evidence that supports permissive hyperglycemia in critically ill patients
