Learning Objectives :

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Describe the mechanism of GLP-1 in the vasculature and in diabetic kidney disease.
  • Identify GLP-1 receptor agonists’ effects on renal outcomes in patients with type 2 diabetes without chronic kidney disease.
  • Evaluate the use of GLP-1 receptor agonists in the treatment of type 2 diabetes in patients with chronic kidney disease.
