Presentation Title: Ticks & Even More Reasons to Hate Them: A Review of Tick-Borne Diseases and Their Treatments

Learning Objectives: 
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Discuss transmission and pathophysiology of tick-borne diseases in the different regions of the United States, especially those common to Illinois
  • Differentiate symptomatic presentation and diagnostic methods of the different tick-borne diseases
  • Describe current treatment modalities for tick-borne diseases and updates to recommendations
