Learning Objectives :

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Review the prevalence, prognostic factors, and intrinsic subtypes of breast cancer based on their gene expression
  • Outline the treatment approach and clinical considerations for HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer
  • Explain the pharmacological properties of the novel agents for the treatment of HER2-positive advanced breast cancer with brain metastases
  • Discuss place in therapy of the novel agents for the treatment of HER2-positive advanced breast cancer with brain metastases
