Learning Objectives :
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Describe the pathophysiology of increased thrombosis risk and increased bleeding risk in patients with cirrhosis
- Summarize current evidence of the use of DOACs in patients with cirrhosis for common indications including atrial fibrillation (AF) and portal venous thrombosis (PVT)
- Explain safety concerns and monitoring parameters associated with DOAC therapy in patients with cirrhosis
