Learning Objectives :

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Explain the abnormalities in preload, afterload, and cardiac output that define vasodilatory shock
  • Recognize differences in outcomes related to achieving goal mean arterial pressure in septic shock
  • Identify opportunities and populations where angiotensin-II may be of therapeutic benefit
