Learning Objectives :

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Identify the risks and benefits of using hepatitis C virus (HCV) positive organs in renal transplantation
  • Identify an appropriate drug regimen for the treatment of HCV in patients receiving HCV positive renal transplants
  • Summarize the investigational medication practices being used in clinical trials for the treatment of HCV post renal transplant
