Learning Objectives :

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Describe the pathophysiological changes in a patient’s microbiome post-stem cell transplant and the impact of medication use in this patient population.
  • Explain how antibiotic choices affect patients’ microbiome diversity and how pharmacists can make better-guided recommendations for these patients.
  • Describe how the microbiome can affect other post-transplant patient complications.
