Learning Objectives :

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Describe the pathophysiology of obesity leading to type 2 diabetes.
  • Summarize recent evidence for the use of a GLP-1 RA or dual GIP/GLP-1 RA in the management of overweight or obesity in persons with or without type 2 diabetes.
  • Identify appropriate initiation and titration regimens and monitoring parameters for high-dose GLP-1 RAs and dual GIP/GLP-1 therapy to support tolerability and patient adherence.
