Learning Objectives :

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Describe the pathophysiology of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT)
  • Analyze current literature regarding the use of DOACs in HIT and HIT with thrombosis (HITT)
  • Design an anticoagulation treatment plan for a patient with HIT or HITT
