Learning Objectives :

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Explain antipsychotic use associated metabolic disturbance and its clinical relevance
  • Discuss the adverse effect profile of antipsychotic medications based on their receptor binding affinity
  • Discuss monitoring parameters and identify therapies for patients experiencing metabolic complications from antipsychotic therapy
