Learning Objectives :
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Discuss the trials that led to the approval of riociguat for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension.
- Describe current evidence for transitioning from phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors to riociguat maintenance therapy for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension.
- Explain safety concerns and monitoring parameters associated with soluble guanylate cyclase agonists in the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension.
