New developments in pharmacotherapy and a better understanding of cancer origins continue to revolutionize the treatment of patients with cancer and challenge the clinical pharmacist to stay abreast of emerging therapies with novel toxicities. This conference will examine approaches to the treatment of hematologic malignancies and provide an overview of new drug therapies. Highlighted topics will include a review of the improvements in the assessment and management of Graft versus Host Disease (GVHD), updates in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL), updates in Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC), and new drug updates in Oncology. In addition, the symposium will include a session on Assessment and Management of Cancer Pain in the Setting of the Opioid Epidemic.
