Learning Objectives:

• Describe the impact of the opioid epidemic through unintentional overdose and opioid use disorder (OUD)
• Review the key drug parameters of naloxone and its role in reducing mortality in opioid overdose
• Discuss appropriate patient education and administration of naloxone
