- Describe the impact of the opioid epidemic through unintentional overdose and opioid use disorder (OUD)
- Review the key drug parameters of naloxone and its role in reducing mortality in opioid overdose
- Discuss appropriate patient education and administration of naloxone

The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.
